Surya has been actively been pursuing His Spiritual Path since he was a small child. His study has been extensive, covering all the major religions of the World and many esoteric sects within them. He found the Yogic Path at age 17 and has been treading it feverishly ever since. Over the last 15 years, he has made 5 Pilgrimage Trips to Mother India, often going way off the Beaten Path to remote Temples, Holy Places and Sadhu's Humble Ashrams. This will be his 4th Kumbh Mela, and he was at the last Hardwar Maha Kumbh in 1998.
Surya has had the Darshan and Ashirvad Blessings of Many Great Spiritual Masters, Yogis, Babas, Matajis and Sadhus of all the various Esoteric Traditions of India. He is a disciple of Sri Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, known simply as AMMA or sometimes as "The Hugging Saint", serving HER programs in the US and South America for the last 20 years.
